How to play

[Goal] The opponent’s玉, checkmate it to win and conquer that battle, then on to the next. Win ten battles to bring about the Restoration.
[Moving] Tap your piece → tap a green dot. Move onto an enemy piece to capture it (red frame).
[Promotion] Within the enemy’s first three ranks, choose ”promote / no promote.”
[Captured pieces] Pieces you capture go to the stand below. Tap to drop them on an empty square.
[Fouls] Double pawn, dead-end pieces, and pawn-drop mate are automatically banned.
[Advancement] As ronin → patriot → captain → elder statesman, your number of ’take-backs’ increases.
